Mmm… this is so simple, so wonderful, such a relief for tired feet. And the giver here gets to practice their balance – practice makes perfect! Here’s to happy feet. 🙂
How to do the Sole Walk Foot Massage for Happy Feet:
- With your partner lying on their belly, put a little padding under their feet. If they have inflexible ankles, you make also want to put a rolled blanket or towel
under the ankles to support them.
- Stand at your partner’s feet and place the balls of your feet on the soles of their feet.
- Rock your weight from foot to foot as you take tiny mincing steps on their soles.
- For a more intense Sole Walk, turn around and place your heels on the soles of their feet.
Benefits: Increased circulation into the feet, stretches the plantar fascia, relieves tires/tight feet.
Cautions: This is a balance pose for the giver. If you feel unstable, hold onto the wall or a chair or just walk on one sole at a time.
