One of the great things about this pain relief point is that its something you can do for yourself. Especially helpful after a day filled with texting or video games, this it an incredible acupressure point that relieves pain, headaches and those tight spots in the thumb’s webbing.
How to work with the Hegu Point Pain Relief Point
Located in the webbing between the thumb and index finger, this is a point of intense sensation. You will know when you find it!
- Hold your partner’s webbing between your thumb and index finger. Start at the base
of the webbing (toward the center of the hand) and work your way out, squeezing and rolling gently until you feel a little knot. This is the Hegu Point.
- Your partner’s expression will likely change when you are on the point. Hold this spot statically or make gentle circles around it.
Benefits: This point is helpful for relieving headaches, improving circulation, relieving the symptoms of too much computer work, as well as providing a counter-irritant to any pain.
Cautions: A little can do a lot here! Intensity is fine; creating pain is not.
