Our hands can get tired. Our wrists can ache. I know, over the last couple weeks I’ve driven thousands of miles. Every night my hands want to stay in the shape of the steering wheel. On top of that, I am a massage therapist, an occupation known for creating dysfunctional thumbs.
In times like this, it can seem like yoga is the last thing I should do with my poor hands. But, yoga is what saves my hands – moving them in different ways, stretching, releasing and strengthening makes them feel better in the moment. Not only that, but doing yoga with this focus helps prevent repetitive stress injuries and creates support for easier release of tension.
