Something that feels good doesn’t have to be difficult – this hand massage is evidence of that. An easy squeeze, one side of the hand at a time and your partner’s hands will be feeling great! Now, add a little traction to that squeeze as you lean back and you have that good feeling traveling all the way up the arm, the shoulder, even to the neck. So much relief from such an easy pose!
How to do the Hand Squeeze Hand Massage:
- Hold your partner’s hand, one of your hands on the pinky side and one of your hands on the thumb side.
- With one hand, squeeze their hand as you lean back to traction the shoulder.
- Release the squeeze, then squeeze and traction using your other hand.
- Continue using one hand at a time, squeezing and tractioning your partner’s hand, your rhythm and movement creating movement in their wrist and maybe even up their arm.
Benefits: Releases the muscles of the hand, and tractions the wrist, elbow and shoulder.
Cautions: If wrist or shoulder issues are present, squeeze the hand but apply no traction.
