Most of us don’t even know when our lower legs are tight. But this Calf Squeeze will make it very apparent. Tension here can affect the comfort and function of the knees and the feet. Try this pose for better circulation and function and get outside to enjoy this beautiful weather with a spring in your step!
How to do the Calf Squeeze:
- Bend your partner’s knee and place the foot on the floor between your knees.
- Take your hands behind the calf, interlace your fingers and squeeze as you lean in.
- Work from back of the knee to as low as you can go on the ankle.
Benefits: Releases tension in calves, feet, knees; improves circulation throughout the body.
Cautions: This area is often way more sensitive than you would expect.
